Cockroaches are not an uncommon occurrence in Allen, Texas. But don’t think you have to allow them to remain in your home! There are two types of them found in the area.
The American Cockroach
They generally lives outdoors in hollow trees or even in wood piles. If you live around trees, you’ve probably seen these pests. While they start outside, they will slip into your home through cracks around loose-fitting windows, or holes where wiring or pipes pass through. This type won’t usually hide as soon as you turn on the lights. Our experts can spray around your house and cover any problem areas where they may be entering.
The German Cockroach
This is what most people think of when they think of cockroaches. They measure about half an inch in length and have wings as adults. These pests are particularly problematic because they lay egg capsules that will hatch about three days once they’ve been deposited in your home. Each capsule contains 30-40 eggs which means that within a few days you could be dealing with serious infestation of 10s to 100s of them. You need to call us immediately if you see or suspect these or you could be in for a world of hurt. This type is a nocturnal and are afraid of the light. They like food, moisture, and warmth so they are often found in kitchens and bathrooms.
